Our program includes a food pantry, medically tailored meals, nutritional supplements, and fresh produce from community tower gardens.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Good Nutrition Supports Good Health<\/h2>\n<p>Eating well is one of the most important things you can do for your health. The right foods give your body the energy and nutrients it needs to fight illness, heal, and feel strong. At Health Plus Indiana, we know that not everyone has easy access to healthy food. That is why we offer our Food and Nutrition Program.<\/p>\n<h2>What We Offer<\/h2>\n<h3>\u1021\u1005\u102c\u1038\u1021\u101e\u1031\u102c\u1000\u103a \u101e\u102d\u102f\u101c\u103e\u1031\u102c\u1004\u103a\u101b\u102f\u1036<\/h3>\n<p>Our food pantry provides groceries once a month. You can pick up food items to take home and prepare for yourself and your family. The pantry includes a variety of items to help you put together healthy meals. There is no charge for this service.<\/p>\n<h3>Medically Tailored Meals<\/h3>\n<p>Some of our clients have special dietary needs based on their health conditions. We offer medically tailored meals once a month. These meals are designed with your health in mind. They take into account any dietary restrictions or nutritional needs recommended by your doctor.<\/p>\n<h3>Vitamins and Nutritional Supplements<\/h3>\n<p>Good nutrition is not just about food. Sometimes your body needs extra vitamins or supplements to stay at its best. Health Plus Indiana provides vitamins and nutritional supplements to clients who need them. <strong>Please note:<\/strong> nutritional supplements require a prescription from your doctor. Talk to your health care provider about whether supplements are right for you.<\/p>\n<h3>Dietary Information and Education<\/h3>\n<p>We also share helpful information about nutrition and healthy eating. Our team can answer your questions about diet and help you make food choices that support your health goals. Learning about nutrition is a powerful way to take control of your well-being.<\/p>\n<h3>Tower Gardens in the Community<\/h3>\n<p>Health Plus Indiana has placed tower gardens throughout the community. These gardens grow fresh fruits and vegetables right where people live and gather. Fresh produce from the tower gardens is available to our clients at no cost. Eating fresh, local produce is a great way to add vitamins and nutrients to your diet.<\/p>\n<h2>How Often Can I Use This Program?<\/h2>\n<p>Food pantry items and medically tailored meals are available once a month. Vitamins and supplements are provided on an ongoing basis as needed, with a doctor&#8217;s prescription for supplements. You can visit a tower garden for fresh produce whenever it is available.<\/p>\n<h2>Who Can Use This Program?<\/h2>\n<p>The Food and Nutrition Program is available to Health Plus Indiana clients at our South Bend and Austin locations.
